Our Why
North Penn VFW Post 676 has been a mainstay of the Glenside community since its founding in 1921. It has been the site, the source and the “go to” venue for ever so many varied events – be they happy, sad or proudly patriotic. We have been there for Glenside.
We have constantly strived to maintain our old “Barn On The Hill”. We have kept working our “job jar” to stay current with our maintenance needs and our equipment up-to-date.
Our Goal
So far in 2024, we have experienced an incredible number of unexpected key infrastructure failures. Among them is the failure of four of our six air conditioning systems, two refrigeration compressors and a grease trap that rotted out requiring a three day closure and major excavation of the kitchen floor. Making these repairs has completely consumed our cash reserves.
As the site of so many successful fundraisers for others, we have decided to run a Barn On The Hill Fundraiser. We will be accepting donations and hosting multiple events through the end of the year to help reach our Goal of $100,000.
